PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA — Two lucky local high schools were visited on Thursday, July 26, 2018 by the Miss Cambodia 2017 Queens to receive this month’s award for the top winners of NagaWorld Kind Hearts’ “Clean School” campaign.
Granting the top prize of US$300 to Chaktomuk Junior High School was Miss Universe Cambodia 2018 | Rern Nat, Miss Earth Cambodia 2018 | Keo Senglyhour and Miss Tourism Beauty of Asia 2018 2nd Runner-up | Kem Sreykeo.
Bakkheng Junior High School also received US$200 for placing second.
The campaign, which was launched earlier this year, seeks to encourage local schools in providing a hygienic and eco-friendly learning environment to students by granting cash prizes to the most compliant participants.
“We have supported this campaign since it started and it’s amazing to see all the positive results that it has generated. We’re happy to see that our local schools are really doing their best to provide a clean environment for their students.
It’s very encouraging,” said Nat.
Likewise, members of both schools expressed their appreciation for the recognition received. “On behalf of all students and faculty members, we would like to thank NagaWorld Kind Hearts for recognizing our efforts. With this cash prize, you can rest assured that we’ll continue striving to be the cleanest school in Phnom Penh,” says Chaktomuk Junior High School Director Yos Ponnarith.
“We would also like to thank our Miss Cambodia Queens for being part of this campaign and for visiting us again. They are a big inspiration to all of us here, especially to our students. We wish them all the best in their upcoming competitions abroad,” added Bakkheng Junior High School Principal Sokhon Chiv.
